Apple plans to introduce IPAD 2, Wednesday (03/02/2011) local time, a step seen as big gamble by the company from Cupertino, California.
A few hours into the future, Apple is believed will be launching the iPad 2 to announce the media event in San Francisco. Ticonderoga Securities analyst Brian White, rate, Apple will need to ensure that the event runs successfully for the sake of continuity iPad sales.
"This event can not be taken lightly, because iPad is an important part of Apple's growth, " White said as reported by eWEEK on Wednesday (03/02/2011).
"Think of the new iPad was exhibited at this event. In our opinion, Apple must convince consumers why iPad 2 more good than many competing tablet computer that is now circulating in the market," he continued.
White added that Apple should be able to persuade them to upgrade to the old iPad iPad 2. He estimates that this new generation of tablets a much more powerful processors, more memory, offer sleek and light form, and at least one camera.
While still dominate the market tablet, IPAD received a serious challenge from Motorola, which has just released Xoom tablets, tablets that an award as the best gadget at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last January won. Android OS 3.0 or Honeycomb performed and the hardware is equipped with dual-core processor Nvidia Tegra 2, Xoom hopes to seize market share iPad.
Since its 2010 debut, then Apple has sold about 15 million copies of the iPad.
