2.1 billion devices connected to the Internet in 2015

Study showed, in 2015 approximately 2.1 devices will be connected to the Internet.

Infinite Menurur Research report, as quoted by CBR Online, Thursday (09/03/2011), total shipments of consumer Internet enabled devices will grow from approximately 262.1 million units in 2010 and then was 712.1 million units in 2015.

"An increasing number of shipments was due to increase in the number of products that include cellular and WiFi connectivity. This trend is expected to affect the growing number of consumer devices connected to approximately 2.1 billion units in 2015,"said the Infinite president of Research, Mark Ritorto.

According Ritorto, currently has a lot of mobile products that connect to the Internet. Not just phones but also e-readers, tablet computers, portable game consoles, media players, digital cameras and camcorders.

Moreover, some consumer electronics products, which began with the expansion of home-based Internet connections are smart TVs, set-top boxes hit, video game consoles, DVD / Blu-ray, digital photo frames and other communications.
